Azharuddin - Ventricular Septal Defect

Azharuddin, just 2 years old, featured in the CHD movie we recorded for the Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation. It shared, in stark detail, the circumstances under which his brave family is coping with the little boy’s life-threatening heart condition.

Tetralogy of Fallot is a deadly constellation of FOUR defects in his heart, which results in his blood carrying very little precious oxygen to all parts of his body. He is a ‘blue baby’ – and turns worse every time he catches an infection.

Surgery to fix his heart is complex, costly and risky. But today, his family is breathing easier – as is little Azhar – because he has undergone open heart surgery to repair his problem on February 27th, 2009.

Thank you for making this happen… and saving his life!
