Poovarasan is 8 years old, and has a captivating smile. But you couldn’t see it – because he rarely smiled!
He understands only too well the burden placed on his family by his heart birth defect. His father travels to another city to earn a living, leaving his mother to care for the family. But the wages he earns are hardly enough to cover the expense of costly heart surgery.
Poovarasan was referred to the Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation, and his surgery was performed in February 2009. Now, he’s smiling from his hospital bed – and YOU made it happen!
