PASUPATHI is 14 years old, studies in 9th grade, and had a hole in his heart - an Atrial Septal Defect.
With his father earning a meagre monthly income, the family could see no way to have his heart defect repaired - until he was referred to the Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation by a physician.
On February 14th, 2009, the young boy had open heart surgery to successfully close the defect. The next morning, he was smiling cheerfully as he was moved out of I.C.U. into his hospital room.
