Swetha - CHD surgery sponsored by Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation
SWETHA is 8 years old, is in fifth grade - and weighs a puny 16 kilograms! Her health has been affected by a large defect in her heart, an ASD, causing breathlessness and frequent chest colds.
On Thursday, Swetha became the first of what we hope will be a long series of patients who underwent heart surgery in the "Ilam Sirar Ithayam Kappom" program.
The cost of her operation was part-funded by our State Government, with the rest of the money coming from donations to the Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation.
She's recovering well after her surgery... thanks to generous, kind-hearted people like you. Thank you - from my heart!
