The 9 year old son of an autorickshaw driver in Bangalore, Ajay is a "blue baby". He has a complex heart birth defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. Though his condition required surgical correction at a young age, his parents were forced to put it off due to financial constraints. At the bare minimum, his operation would cost Rs.67,500 - but the family's combined monthly income was only Rs.2,000. Thanks to the Heart Kids Blogathon and the generosity of kind-hearted donors from halfway across the globe, Ajay will soon have a chance - to lead a normal life! Thanks to YOU - and other Blogathon supporters!

In the short time the Dr.Mani Children's Heart Foundation has been in existence, we have raised around $12,000 in donations which has been used to sponsor heart operations for four children.

But there are miles to go before we sleep...

For every Ajay Kumar, there are hundreds of other children waiting hopefully for a stroke of luck.

We cannot help them all.

But we sure are going to try.
