TANUSHIYA

This sweet little 8 year old is a 4th grade student from the town of Trichy in Tamilnadu. She was born with a hole in her heart - a condition called Atrial Septal Defect. Her parents are unskilled laborers working for daily wages, with a combined annual income of Rs.2,400 (approx. $50 - yes, FIFTY!) Tanushiya will soon be undergoing heart surgery at the Narayana Hrudayalaya, thanks to the contributions made to the Children's Heart Foundation. Yes, you'll help save a child's life!

In the short time the Dr.Mani Children's Heart Foundation has been in existence, we have raised around $12,000 in donations which has been used to sponsor heart operations for four children.

But there are miles to go before we sleep...

For every Tanushiya, there are hundreds of other children waiting hopefully for a stroke of luck.

We cannot help them all.

But we sure are going to try.

Who knows... with your help, we might work miracles!

Our Heart Kids Blog Marathon 2004 has a specific focus. We want to help these kids. We're sure to do it. We're counting on your support.
