Our Governance
The Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation is run as a lean, yet effective organization primarily to ensure that the highest share possible from the funds donated are used to further the stated objective of helping a child with heart birth defects live longer.
The 'Board of Trustees' has Dr.S.Sivasubramanian, a consultant pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon, as Chairman and one of the co-founders of the Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation. Mrs.C.Gowri, is the Secretary and co-founder of the Foundation.
Both the positions are honorary posts, with no salary or remuneration being drawn by either of the Board members. The trustees can be contacted at 'info (at) chdinfo.com'
The Board formally meets every quarter (once in 3 months) to review progress and fine-tune plans for the future. Minutes of the meetings are documented and stored along with records of the Foundation.
Typically, Board meetings deal with issues like budgeting, preparing financial statements, recording performance and planning avenues of fundraising to fuel the ever-growing needs of the organization.
